A late 1800's cross between Petit Bouschet and Grenache, Alicante is one of the few red fleshed vinifera varieties. Prized for its deep coloured Alicante wine, subtle flavour profile and full mouthfeel, this is one of the all-time favourite home winemaking grapes.
